Our first annual Paws 2 Read 5K Run will take place on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at Mesa Public Library-Red Mountain Branch! The race starts at the library, takes a scenic loop around the Red Mountain lake and concludes back at the library for a fun runner’s festival featuring our supporting businesses and organizations.
Paws 2 Read is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering reading programs that allow children to enhance their literacy skill by reading aloud to pet therapy animals. Our programs enable children to establish confidence in their reading capabilities, free from worry of messing up a word or being laughed at. The experience of a non-critical, caring environment can truly change a reader’s outlook on life and that is why Paws 2 Read was created.
